Blizzard Entertainment’s closed multiplayer beta for Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void has gone live. If you signed up, then you should find an invite waiting for you.

The closed beta will feature both player vs. player combat as well Archon mode wherein two players will have control over the same base and its army. Players will also have a chance to try out the new Protoss unit and three different maps. These are Lerilak Crest, Orbital Shipyard and Ruins of Seras.

You’re also free to share any footage of the multiplayer beta – Blizzard has confirmed no NDA for the same and has only requested footage to be tagged properly. Check out the official FAQ for the beta here if you have more questions.

Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void is the third “part” of the series after Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. It’s a standalone expansion that will focus on the mysterious Protoss and their involvement in the war. Stay tuned for more details, including beta footage, in the coming days.
