We know that Bethesde Game Studios’ next two games are going to be Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, but we also know – or can assume, at any rate – that both these games are quite far away from release (especially the latter). Starfield will be arriving first, and though we don’t have a release date for it just yet, recently, reports emerged that suggested that the sci-fi RPG might be closer to launch than we thought.
These reports picked up on a rating for the game by USK that appeared on the game’s website, and since ratings for games (especially by USK) don’t usually appear until games are very close to release, many took this to mean that Starfield was close to launch.
Dash those hopes, though- Pete Hines, senior vice president of global communications and marketing at Bethesda – recently took to Twitter to confirm that that USK rating was nothing more than a glitch. So if this recent development got your hopes up that Starfield was going to launch any time soon, go back to having no hopes for that once more.
It’s hard to say when the game will be out, what platforms it will come to, when we will hear more about it, or how its development has (or has not) been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Right now, all we can do is hope to hear at least some concrete update from Bethesda about this not too far off in the future.
wasn't aware, but it's just a glitch or a bug on the site. i'll ask them to look into it and get it fixed. thanks for the heads-up
