Starhawk: 10 Things That Need To Change

A greater sense of progression

A nice try, but we'll need more customisation in Starhawk

Sure you could rank up in Warhawk, but it never really felt like it meant that much. Aside from a few additional customisation options, there wasn’t a lot to show for your hard earned victories. A perks and upgrades system as in Call of Duty wouldn’t really suit a game like Starhawk, but a greater level of customisation would definitely be called for. Halo Reach managed to do a good job of making level ups satisfying with cosmetic items only, something that Starhawk could learn from.

Protection from spawn camping

It wasn’t a regular occurrence, but when it did happen it could be damn annoying. Online communities can be inaccessible and elitist at the best of times so, when you have a bunch of more experienced players absolutely dominating the losing team’s spawn point, it doesn’t exactly help matters. I’m not sure how the developers could go about this, but some way of preventing spawn camping would help even the odds in Starhawk.

Larger scale battles

32 players max? That is so 2007

32 player matches is pretty impressive, but do you know what’s even more impressive? 64 man battles! Or 128 lads in a game, which ever comes first. Warhawk had some big scale battles but, having seen what games like MAG can do, it would be great to see the max player capacity expanded. With the space setting of Starhawk offering big and open ended maps, this idea isn’t too far-fetched.
