While we already have The Game Awards to look forward to, we also now have the Steam Awards. These particular awards have the added benefit that users can nominate any game they’d like for a massive selection of awards.
This particular feature had the side effect almost anyone could predict in that it didn’t take all that long for someone to use the format to continue to push Steam to make Half Life 3. On the still hasn’t been announced game’s subreddit, a user posted a picture showing they had nominated Half Life 2 as the “Game That Deserves a Sequel.”
It didn’t take long to get this nomination more than 700 comments, most saying they had done the same. While Steam is likely not going to begin development on a game like Half Life 3 just because a bunch of users announced they want it, but it does show that the community desperately want the game to become reality.
