Valve Software has released a new video of its Steam Controller in action, including how it works with certain games like Portal 2. Check it out above.

Valve had announced its Steam Controller not too long ago in a week focused primarily on announcements in the living room gaming space. This included the announcement of SteamOS and Steam Machines in order to cater to the living room PC crowd. Since then, configurations for the latter have been revealed, but this is the first time we’re seeing the Steam Controller in action.

As of now, the Steam Controller and Steam Machines are set to release in 2014 with beta testing currently underway. The Steam Controller, despite its looks, has been touted to be completely open with players modifying it as they see fit. We’ll see how this plays out in the future, but for now, basic feedback and response appears spot-on. What are your thoughts about the Steam Controller? Let us know below.
