Valve has released a new update for Steam, this time around adding a new Steam Charts page that displays the performance of games on the digital distribution platforms.
There are a few interesting metrics available on the new Steam Charts page alongside the usual suspects like concurrent player data for any game running on Steam.
Other metrics provided by Steam Charts include details on the most played games, as well as the top selling games. Currently, the top selling game on Steam seems to be the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, followed closely by free-to-play games Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Apex Legends. The 5 top selling games list is rounded off with Slime Rancher 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.
On the most played games side of things, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is dominating the chart with almost 400,000 players in-game. Following closely are Dota 2, Apex Legends, Lost Ark, and Destiny 2.
At the time of publishing, the Steam Charts page displays that around 18 million players are online on the platform right now, with a peak of 26 million players online.
