With the recent release of the demo for hack-and-slash action game Stellar Blade, developer Shift Up has taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to tell its players to go easy on the game’s demo.
The studio calls attention to the high play time for some players in the demo, which essentially happened because progress from the demo can be carried over into the full game when it releases, and the demo allows players to grind out some extra levels by replaying it.
“We’re so grateful for your love of your game,” said the studio in its post. “To enjoy the main game properly though, please go easy on the demo. 50+ hours of demo play… we’re scared!”
The demo for Stellar Blade was released back in March. The demo has players taking control of protagonist Eve as she takes on the threat of the Naytiba. It features the opening section of the game, and is roughly an hour long, featuring the first boss fight and giving players and overview of the basic combat in the game.
Since the demo’s release, Stellar Blade has seen quite a few trailers, including a behind-the-scenes video, a trailer showcasing Naytiba bosses, and vignette trailers showcasing Lily, Adam, and Eve.
Stellar Blade is coming exclusively to PS5 on April 26.
