Street Fighter 5’s First DLC Character Will Be Alex, Coming In March

And the floodgates are open!

Street Fighter 5

When Street Fighter 5 launches this Friday, it will launch with only 16 characters in the roster- but more will be added over time as parts of updates and DLC. The first one of these has already been confirmed- Alex, who will be joining the Street Fighter 5 roster in March, Capcom confirmed today.

More characters are anticipated to join the Street Fighter 5 roster, including other fan favorites who didn’t make the cut from the previous games in the franchise- although of course, exact details are still nebulous and unknown. It is also unknown whether Alex will be allowed at EVO this year, but on the whole, considering his early availability to the community, I don’t see any reason why he would be excluded after all.

Street Fighter 5 is the fifth entry in Capcom’s long running flagship fighting game franchise. It will be launching on February 12 on the PlayStation 4 and PC exclusively, with no other version expected.
