Born Ready Games has finally announced the release date for their mech sim, funded by the anonymous crowds of Kickstarter, Strike Suit Zero as January 24th 2013. The $174,804 pledged also means that the community will be receiving XedMod, a compact and unified version of the toolset used to develop the game, along with the release.

James Brooksby, CEO of Born Ready Games, stated, “We are truly grateful for all the support we’ve received and above all else want to thank the community. Their support has meant we’re now able to make the game we’d always envisioned, and we can’t wait for our fans to get their hands on the game.”

Of course, if you were one of the first thousand backers to pledge $50 USD or more, you’ll be able to access the closed beta of Strike Suit Zero when it starts in early December. We’ll keep you updated on the details as they emerge. Strike Suit Zero will be releasing for the PC first, with console versions slated for later in 2013.
