Stunning new Elder Scrolls Online Screenshots; menacing Spider type monster shown

The game looks pretty good.

Bethesda has released a bunch of new screenshots for The Elder Scrolls Online. The game is an MMO so don’t expect it to look incredibly awesome like Skyrim, but the art design is pretty cool.

The game will be in a third-person view instead of first-person but for an MMO that’s what suits well, these screenshots show the variety of enviornments players can expect to roam around in the game.

We recently covered about the game, and it is supposed to be fully voiced, features a hubless design and also doesn’t have any dragons.

The main pitch of the game is this: “This time, saving the world from the awakening of ancient evil is only the beginning. What happens when hundreds or thousands of prophesied heroes all think that they should be Emperor?”

“We’ve really got to create a compelling game first,” creative director Paul Sage explains.

“It needs to be comfortable for people who are coming in from a typical massively multiplayer game that has the same control mechanisms, but it also has to appeal to Skyrim players. You want to hit those touchstones, but more important than that, you’ve got to create an experience that’s unique and fun.”
