It was reported last month that following backlash from players for its gameplay showcase, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had been internally delayed past its May launch date, and may even have been pushed back into 2024. That has now been officially confirmed.

Rocksteady and WB Games have announced that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now going to launch nearly a year later than intended. Previously set to launch next month, the superhero open world shooter has now been delayed to February 2, 2024.

“We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players,” Rocksteady wrote in its announcement.

This isn’t the first time the game has been hit with a delay. Originally set to launch in 2022, the game would go on to be delayed to May 2023. By the time it launches in February next year, it will be releasing nine years on from Rocksteady’s last game, Batman: Arkham Knight.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
