As Rocksteady announced no more content for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League post-Season 4, it also confirmed that the long-awaited offline mode will arrive on December 10th.
According to a new FAQ, players must create a separate profile to play offline. It can be a brand new profile starting from the beginning or a copy of an existing online profile with all your progress to date. The progression of both profiles is separate, and nothing carries over between them. Furthermore, you can’t convert an offline profile into an online one.
Otherwise, the offline mode includes all playable content, including the campaign and seasonal story missions. Players must still connect online and download Episode 8 when it goes live. It’s also confirmed that battle passes and LutherCoins won’t be available when playing offline. Cosmetics acquired in online mode (including Deluxe Edition content) are also usable offline.
Leaderboards and Social Squad also won’t be available alongside other social features. You can earn Achievements and Trophies on consoles when, though PC players must connect online for the same.
With the arrival of offline mode and Season 4 being the last content update, many would suspect the end of server support sometime soon. DC Games Support confirmed “no plans” to do so “at this time” but affirms that the title will remain playable offline when players update to a version containing the same. Those with physical copies can’t play offline without the latest update.
