Super Bomberman R 2

Konami has announced that Super Bomberman R 2, a sequel to HexaDrive’s 2017 title, will release on September 13th in North America and September 14th in Europe and Japan. It will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, with a physical edition available September 12th in North America. Check out the first trailer below.

Boasting “the largest content volume in the series’ history,” Super Bomberman R 2 features the new Castle Mode and the return of Standard, Grand Prix and Battle 64. Castle sees players divided into two sides, Attack and Castle, fighting over some treasure. Offline and online battles are also available, with Grade Match for ranked play and Room Match for custom games.

Along with a Stage Editor, which supports sharing online, there’s an “enhanced” Story Mode. It features new planets and characters with a major new threat for Bomberman and his friends. Stay tuned for more details en route to its release later this year.
