For those who haven’t played the original Wii U title, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury offers a lot of different bosses. In Super Mario 3D World, the majority of them appear at the end of each world and offer up some unique challenges. You’ll also find several of them appearing for rematches later.
For Bowser’s Fury, the focus is primarily on Fury Bowser. Some other bosses, like the Koopalings, will also appear but it’s all about taking down King Koopa.
First, let’s take a look at Super Mario 3D World. Here are all the bosses you can encounter and their locations. Beware of spoilers:

- Boom Boom (World 2)
- Pom Pom (World 3)
- Hisstocrat (World 3)
- Boss Brolder (World 4)
- King Ka-Thunk (World 5)
- Prince Bully (World 6)
- Boom Boom (World 6)

- Boss Brolder (World Castle)
- Prince Bully (World Castle)
- Bowser (World Castle)
- Pom Pom (World Bowser)
- Motley Bossblob (World Bowser)
- Queen Hisstocrat (World Bowser)
- Meowser (World Bowser)
In World Flower, you’ll encounter a Boss Blitz, which comprises of six separate encounters that must be cleared for Key Coins. These can be cleared in any order. The bosses in question are:
- King Ka-Thunk
- Pom Pom
- Boom Boom
- Motley Bossblob
- Hisstocrat & Queen Hisstocrat
- Boss Brolder
As for Bowser’s Fury, here are all the bosses that you can battle:
- Luigi Fury Shadow (First fight)
- Mega Fury Bowser (fought with Lakeside Giga Bell)
- Cat Boom Boom (First fight)
- Cat Pom Pom
- Luigi Fury Shadow (Second fight)
- Cat Boom Boom (Second fight)
- Mega Fury Bowser (fought with Ruins Giga Bell)
- Luigi Fury Shadow (Third fight)
- Cat Prince Bully
- Mega Fury Bowser (fought with Wasteland Giga Bell)
- Luigi Fury Shadow (Fourth fight)
- Silver Mega Fury Bowser
