Super Mario Bros. Wonder has done very well since launching last week on Nintendo Switch, debuting second in physical sales charts for the United Kingdom. It’s also performed exceptionally throughout Europe, becoming the fastest-selling Mario game ever in the continent in its first three days on sale.

Nintendo hasn’t provided worldwide sales numbers, while its performance in the US will be revealed next month when Circana’s report lands. However, in the UK, sales are “significantly bigger” than New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and “narrowly” trailing Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 3D All-Stars. It’s currently the fifth biggest physical launch of the year and the biggest 2D Mario launch in the region, with digital sales yet to be factored in.

Check out our review for Super Mario Bros. Wonder here, where we awarded it a 10 out of 10. You can also read up on various tips, tricks and secrets here for more details. Stay tuned for more updates on sales numbers in the coming weeks.
