Fresh off announcing that the Super Mario Galaxy series will be re-released on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo has released a new overview trailer detailing everything to expect. For new players, this is a handy outline of each game’s mechanics and what makes them unique.
But what about longtime fans? A new Storybook chapter is available in the first game, which seemingly tells the tale of Rosalina and Luma. A fresh Storybook has also been added to the sequel, focusing on twin Lumas who sound suspiciously like another pair of brothers.
Of course, there’s also Assist Mode, which makes both games easier. Mario can take more hits, and falling causes him to bounce back up, making for less frustrating platforming. You can also look forward to enhanced resolutions with a free update adding 4K support for Switch 2 players.
Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 launches for Nintendo Switch on October 2nd. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
