Super Smash Bros. Switch Announcement and Release Coming Later This Year- Rumor

Oh goodness, please, yes.

Posted By | On 21st, Feb. 2018

At this point, literally the only reason I am still holding on to my Wii U is because Super Smash Bros. is incredible, and is available only on it- it is one of the very few great Wii U games that has not made the jump to the Switch yet (nor been announced or hinted to be doing so).

That will probably be changing soon. Posting on the ResetEra forums, well known Nintendo insider Emily Rogers (among other things, she also leaked what the Switch would it, along with its specs and functionality in their entirety, before the system was officially revealed) has confirmed that according to her sources, Super Smash Bros. is getting announced, and then released, for the Nintendo Switch later this year.

The new Smash Bros. game will be based at least in part on the existing Wii U and 3DS games, though Rogers has also confirmed that all new content has been added to the title- which is just as well, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U launched all the way back in 2014, so it’s been some time.

Hopefully, this is one rumor that turns out to be true- all I want is Smash Bros. on Switch. Well, okay, that’s not all I want, but I do want it really badly anyway.
