Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the fifth entry in Nintendo’s crossover fighting game series. Directed by series creator and longtime director Masahiro Sakurai, in conjunction with Bandai Namco and his own studio Sora Ltd., Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sees every single fighter in the series so far return in one game (including DLC fighters), in addition to new inclusions, leading to the largest series roster yet of over 70 characters at launch.
Over 100 stages and 900 music tracks were also included in the game at launch, making it the mot exhaustive crossover game in the series’ history so far.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom also moves up the rankings, overtaking Super Mario Party to reach eighth place.
