Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been receiving tons of new information and footage today. They recently released  a new trailer for the upcoming Switch exclusive and had the legendary Announcer run down all the features. While the game looks great and World of Light, the new Adventure mode, looks compelling, it does have a small caveat: No co-op.

This was confirmed by NintendoLife when they went hands on with the game. So if you wanted to play with a friend, similar to Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, you can’t. The good news is that for the solo player, World of Light is positively brimming with things to do, as Kirby embarks on a journey to free his friends and take on doppelgangers wielding different Spirits. Each battle is specifically tuned to reflect the Spirits in battle and players can even choose which routes to take as they progress.

Those interested in playing against others in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can still partake in 1v1, 5v5, and numerous other battles. Various parameters can be tweaked, and there’s a proper ranking system while playing online as well. The game is out on December 7th, so pre-order your copy today (and receive Piranha Plant as a bonus character).
