Nintendo will have some Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news at its upcoming E3 2019 Direct presentation. As you’d expect, it’s a reveal of the next Challenger Pack fighter. This is according to director Masahiro Sakurai, who appeared at the end of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 to announce the same.
Challenger Pack 1 was announced at last year’s The Game Awards and featured Joker from Persona 5. Released in April, the DLC also contained the Mementos stage from the game, along with music tracks from Persona 3, 4, and 5. All Challenger Packs are part of the Fighters Pass, which costs $24.99.
Other announcements Nintendo is expected to make pertain to Luigi’s Mansion 3, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and possibly Animal Crossing. The first two games, along with Pokemon Sword and Shield and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, will be playable on the show floor. Stay tuned for June 11th, 9 AM PT to see what other announcements the company has in store.
