Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – ARMS Fighter Reveal Announced for June 22nd

Director Masahiro Sakurai will present a 35-minute look at the next DLC fighter.

The time has finally come to learn about the next DLC fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that it would reveal the next fighter, which is already confirmed to be from ARMS, on June 22nd. The reveal will take place at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET with director Masahiro Sakurai on hand for a 35-minute long livestream.

One can expect an in-depth look at the fighter’s various moves, combos and special traits. Given how controversial the last DLC fighter was (mostly because fans expected Dante from Devil May Cry), it remains to be seen how this one will fare. Nintendo has clarified that no other fighters will be revealed in the upcoming stream so keep those expectations in check.

Expect the ARMS fighter to release sometime this month, both standalone and as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2. The pass retails for $29.99 and includes six new fighters in total along with additional stages and music tracks. Stay tuned for more details in the coming week.
