final fantasy 7 remake

In what’s perhaps the most unexpected announcement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 has been announced as the next DLC fighter. He makes his debut, slicing main villain Galeem in half like it’s nothing. Check it out below.

Sephiroth retains much of his same abilities from the games. When he’s not slicing enemies apart with the Masamune, he’s using special Materia to inflict heavy damage. The trailer also features numerous callbacks to classic moments from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, including the closing exchange with Cloud. But then Bizarro Sephiroth appears – could this be his Final Smash?

Sephiroth is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this month so expect a more concrete release date in the coming weeks. He’s included with Fighters Pass Vol. 2 but can also be purchased standalone and will have his own unique stage. Stay tuned for more details from The Game Awards 2020 – the show is only just getting started.
