Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Crosses Over With Avengers: Infinity War In New Fan Trailer

This is the ultimate crossover of crossovers, it can never be topped.

This has been the year of crossovers. Atlus is bringing together the casts of Persona 3, 4, and 5, including the long ignored female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable, together for one roaring adventure in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Nintendo is bringing together every single character to have ever appeared in Super Smash Bros. for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as a multitude of new first and third party characters showing up in the game in various capacities. And, of course, Marvel kickstarted the whole thing to begin with with Avengers: Infinity War, the newest entry in their ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe, which came out earlier this year.

Now, a fan on YouTube –PushingButtons – probably inspired by the similarities between the apparent setup for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s announced World of Light adventure mode, and the plot of Infinity War, has taken the whole crossover shtick one step further—a crossover of crossovers. He’s taken Smash Bros., and overlain it on top of the audio from very first trailer for Infinity War.

The result is frankly one of the best fan edited videos ever, with some hilarious choices for scenes interspersed with far more serious sounding dialog from Avengers. You can see it for yourself below.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on December 7.
