It has been revealed that the latest update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now. It is, as the update’s designation may have given away, a minor patch that doesn’t do much of significance. Long story short, it adds compatibility to the game with the upcoming Daisy, Young Link, and Ken amiibo figures.
Ultimate is the latest in the brawler Nintendo crossover series that has become a smash success since its release last December with its staggering roster that saw every single fighter from previous games return, along with several newcomers. We know that Joker, from Atlus’s Persona 5, will be coming to the game via the game’s Fighter Pass (available for $24.99), along with a new stage that’s rumored to be based on the RPG’s Mementos dungeon. No release date has been set yet for Joker, but he will be the second DLC character after Piranha Plant, who was free to those who registered the game up to certain point, and costs $4.99 to purchase for those that missed it.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
