Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Announced for November 1

Nintendo has also confirmed the stream will be 40 minutes long.

Nintendo’s biggest game release for this year—and really, one of the biggest game releases of the year, period—will be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the latest entry in their flagship fighting game franchise that is due to release in December. While we already have a lot of information on the game, thanks to periodic updates on it, as well as Nintendo having spent the bulk of their E3 show on it, as well as a previous Direct dedicated solely to it, it looks like there may be a lot more about it that is yet to be shared.

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct focused solely on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for this Thursday, November 1, at 10am ET. This Direct will be 40 minutes long, which means either series director Masahiro Sakurai will go into insufferable detail on the smallest of things, or there’s a ridiculous amount left to share on a game that’s already mind bogglingly vast in scope. I’m betting my money on it being both, actually.

If nothing else, we should learn whether or not the recent leaks about the game are real in this Direct. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due to launch on Nintendo Switch on December 7.
