Nintendo announced the next DLC Challenger Pack character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at E3 2019, and it was none other than the Hero from Dragon Quest. When can we expect to see the character’s release though? According to a recent tweet from Nintendo, director Masahiro Sakurai will host a video presentation on July 30th at 6 AM PT to showcase the Hero.

Along with a 22 minute demo with new details, Sakurai will reveal exactly the Hero will arrive. Dare we hope for more details on Banjo-Kazooie, who were revealed at the end of Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct presentation? It’s a long shot, but there’s always a chance.

As for Challenger Pack 2, it features a myriad of characters who took up the mantle of Hero throughout the Dragon Quest series. This includes the Luminary from Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age, which releases for Nintendo Switch on September 27th. Challenger Pack 2 is part of the Fighters Pass, which costs $25, and currently includes Joker from Persona 5 as a DLC fighter (along with the Mementos stage and music from the Persona series).
