Super Smash Bros. Wii U Passes 2 Million Units Sold in June

Wii U version sells 4.8 million units since March 31st.

In the midst of the NPD Group’s sales report for June 2016 in the United States, Nintendo revealed that Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U managed to sell 2 million units with the 3DS version passing 3 million units.

It should be noted that worldwide sales as of March 31st for the Wii U version are at 4.8 million units. The 3DS version sold 8.12 million units since then. Nintendo also noted that not only was Minecraft Wii U the number 11 selling game in the NPD Group’s best-seller list but that Kirby: Planet Robobot was the fourth best-selling game in the US for June 2016.

Nintendo also noted that its 3DS line-up of handhelds, which included the 2DS, saw an average weekly sales increase by 39 percent in June over the previous month.
