Nightdive Studios’ remake of System Shock is still not out, despite receiving a new trailer during Gamescom 2022. Currently planned to release this year, the developer and publisher Prime Matter haven’t offered any updates.

Unfortunately, it seems the remake may be delayed if its Steam listing is to be believed. As discovered by Wario64 on Twitter, the remake is now apparently launching in March 2023. Nightdive hasn’t officially commented on the same, but it’s unlikely to be an error.

The console versions may launch first while the PC version is pushed back. However, Nightdive’s director of business development Larry Kuperman previously said the PC version was nearing completion, so it’s unlikely.

Initially announced in November 2015, the System Shock remake has seen numerous delays, including a hiatus in February 2018. It’s currently slated for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned for more details and updates on its release date in the meantime.
