System Shock has always been something of a legend. The immersive sim shooter was a precursor to the acclaimed Bioshock series, and now it’s getting a makeover for a new generation thanks to Nightdive Studios. We’ve seen several alpha builds of the game in action to give us an idea of what to expect. Now, there’s more with two very different aspects of the game getting highlighted.

The studio released two different videos for the game. One of them shows off the trippy cyberspace levels where you navigate through a simulation with light puzzles and shooting. The other is all about gore as a developer diary that shows off how the developer implemented the new bloody dismemberment system in the game. You can check out both below.

System Shock is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. At one point, it was said to be a 2020 release, but as of now no official date has been set. Another title in the series, System Shock 3, is also currently in development by a different studio.
