The standalone multiplayer title was announced in 2022, with developers who worked on Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor involved.
Among other things, Assassin's Creed Infinity will feature small narrative-focused battle passes and a cosmetics store.
Ubisoft has six Assassin's Creed titles officially confirmed to be in development, while reports have suggested four more are in the pipeline.
Ubisoft's Marc-Alexis Côté also hints at the "possibility of crossing over characters from different periods" to bridge the various titles.
The in-development standalone multiplayer title will be "more approachable" and "more mass market" that the series' previous multiplayer offerings.
