Through an announcement on the game's official Discord server, Ubisoft has officially stopped development on Project Q.
Cancelled projects, delayed games, big-budget titles in limbo, losses and falling stock prices are only the tip of the iceberg.
The battle arena title has apparently seen "significant changes" since its initial test, as per Insider Gaming's latest report.
Ubisoft's upcoming free-to-play titles will also "benefit" the company and are in the "final stages of development" with tests currently ongoing.
Ubisoft's upcoming title isn't a Battle Royale, instead offering a "variety of PvP modes" and letting players "truly own the experience."
The free-to-play multiplayer title will allegedly have two modes- a battle royale experience and a 4v4 battle arena mode.
