Tetsuya Nomura says the next Kingdom Hearts title is going to be "easier for new people to get into it" than past games in the series have been.
"We’ve improved system software performance and stability," per the patch notes. Square Enix also continues to investigate the issues.
"We will create a global environment that allows more customers to enjoy our major franchises and AAA titles, including from our back catalog," the publisher says.
Though both games received critical acclaim, neither has been able to generate enough profits to meet Square Enix's expectations.
