The eye of Balor may rest upon Avalon, yet the journey to reclaim your identity continues to improve in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Questline has released Patch 1.20, and it’s absolutely massive, adding new quests, improvements for Act 3, numerous balance changes, audio improvements, and much more.
To start with, over 20 items have been rebalanced, but to preserve that power fantasy, players who already own them will receive duplicates. The originals remain, as potent as ever, but if you find things too easy, then the dupes should restore some of that challenge. You can also enable soft caps on your stats, granting diminishing returns past a certain threshold.
You can check out the full balance changes here, but for those who care for new content, there’s much to sink your teeth into. Act 3’s Forlorn Swords offers a new cave, two new mini-bosses (Sleepwalker and Cairnguard), and features new terrain. You’ll discover new items and even some different enemies in the Stronghold.
How about a house? Because there’s also a new quest, “The Empty House,” which gifts the Seacoast Manor as a home for players to customize. Of course, that’s not even getting into all the audio improvements, or the new 40 FPS mode for console players (that will go live in a few days). You’ll need a supporting screen, though, so keep that in mind.
Perhaps the most insane thing is that Questline aren’t done. Free DLC, which it promises will be “worth the wait,” is out by the end of March, and there are even more additions to come. Stay tuned for updates, as always, and check out our reviews for the base game and Sanctuary of Sarras expansion.
