Bandai Namco unveiled Tales of Arisetheir next mainline entry in the RPG franchise, back in 2019, with an intended launch date of 2020, and the game immediately grabbed attention of the masses. Not only did it look like a slick action RPG, its beautiful visuals were also hugely responsible for the hype it immediately generated. Sadly, Tales of Arise was one among several 2020 games that had its development hampered by COVID-19, with the game eventually getting pushed back indefinitely.

Recently, at the Tales of 25th anniversary celebration livestream event, series producer Yusuke Tomizawa apologized for the lack of recent updates, and promised that more updates on the game and its development will be coming in 2021 (which isn’t that far away now). Tomizawa also assured that development on the RPG is going well.

Tales of Arise is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, though with its delayed launch, it’s likely that it’ll end up being a cross-gen game. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
