Tales of Arise

Bandai Namco has a new trailer and gameplay footage for Tales of Arise available courtesy of Famitsu. A worldwide release date of September 10th was also confirmed for the action RPG. Along with Xbox One, PS4 and PC, it will also release for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The videos showcase new party members, Linwell and Lowe. According to Famitsu (translated via DeepL), Linwell is the girl that was near collapsing in a previous trailer and hails from Dahna. She utilizes astrological magic and battles from long-range along with having an owl cub named Fururu with her. Rowe is from Calaglia, one of the new environments showcased, and is part of the police group “Snake Eyes” and specializes in melee combat.

The story sees the land of Dahna being ruled over by Rena and its rulers, the Surud. Calaglia is a barren land with fire and smoke everywhere while large machines refine oil overhead. Cislordia is a snow-covered area controlled by Rena with Dahna’s people creating artificial light. We also learn more about Biezo, a General who uses Dahna people as slaves. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
