It seems the studio has recovered well from COVID setbacks.

Tales of Arise 2

The latest entry in Bandai Namco’s Japanese RPG series, Tales of Arise, was supposed to hit this year. However, due to COVID-related issues, the game was pushed back to some point next year. While updates have been scarce since that announcement, Producer Yusuke Tomizawa did give a recent update saying that development was going smoothly, and now has given a follow up to apparently say its in the final stretches.

In the most recent issue of Weekly Famitsu, Tomizawa fleshed out some details on that previous statement. He actually said the game was in the final stages of its development and that the team was in the process of recovering from the chaos of the COVID set back. It’s not entirely clear what exactly he means by final stage, but either way, the game is probably fairly far along. Tomizawa also reiterated that more information will come next year (thanks to Gematsu for translating).

Tales of Arise is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2021.
