Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will update the beloved, fan favorite RPG for a new generation of consoles when it launches early next year. Vesperia is widely held to be the best game in the series by fans, owing to its imaginative combat system, and a simple but compelling story populated by what might be the best cast of characters in the series to date.

That cast of characters is what the newest trailer for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition focuses on. Showing us Yuri, Estelle, Flynn, among others, this Japanese trailer is bound to stir some nostalgia in anyone who was fond of this game when it first came out originally on the Xbox 360 ten years ago.

The trailer also shows how well the visual style of the original game held up, because while the remaster cleans up the resolution, the game at its core remains good looking- I would argue, to some extent, better looking than the games that did follow.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition launches on January 11, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
