If Tchia isn’t on your radar, it definitely should be. Awaceb’s tropical open world action-adventure title has looked excellent every time it’s been shown off since its announcement a couple of years ago, and unsurprisingly, its newest trailer is equally impressive.

It starts off with director Phil Crifo explaining soul-jumping, one of Tchia’s central mechanic, which will allow players to possess and take control of almost anything you spot in the open world. This will, as you might imagine, have an impact on everything from traversal and exploration to puzzle-solving and combat.

The trailer also showcases some of that with some gameplay footage, showing the player taking control of animals like a seagull and a sea turtle and inanimate objects like a lantern and a barrel. Meanwhile, in terms of things such as climbing, gliding, and its stamina mechanic, Tchia continues to be very reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Check out the video below for more details.

Tchia is due out for PS5, PS4, and PC in early 2023.
