Team Ninja: Developing on Wii U is identical to the PS3 and 360

We know for a fact that Ninja Gaiden 3 will be headed to the Wii U, and we have some details from the studio – Team Ninja, regarding how the system is when it comes to development.

Now, this does not mean they are saying that the power of the console is similar to the PS3 and 360, it just means that it is easier to develop on the console just like the current gen HD consoles.

It’s been rumoured that the Wii U has an architecture that is identical to the Xbox 360, and this should make it really easier to develop on the console.

Team Ninja director, Fumihiko Yasuda commented that, “It’s very easy to develop for. We’re finding it very similar to develop for Wii U as for the Xbox 360 and PS3.”

“They’ve asked us what we would like to see from the hardware, and when we give them feedback we can see that they’re definitely listening to it and making changes.

“The hardware is still constantly changing,” he added.

Yosuke Hayashi who is the Team Ninja lead revealed a few bits about the Wii U controller, and praised it.

“I think it’s a really big deal that you have a screen right there in your hands; it’s a feature that’s really unique.”
