The Tekken series is the highest selling fighting game series of all time (yes, more than even Super Smash Bros.), and it has further cemented its place at the top with the release of Tekken 7. Posting on Twitter, Katsuhiro Harada, the producer of the series, shared that the game has sold over 3 million units worldwide, which makes it higher selling than primary rival Street Fighter 5 by a comfortable margin.
This brings the total for the series up to 47 million units worldwide (another figure confirmed by Harada in his tweet sharing the updated sales numbers). Given how great Tekken 7 was, I don’t think anyone will necessarily begrudge it this success, either.
The game is going to continue to grow from here on out, too, with a new season of downloadable content planned for it (helmed by, er, The Walking Dead’s Negan, for some reason), so fans of the game will have even more reason to stick with it. Tekken 7 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

TEKKEN7 had achieved Over 3million sales before one year passed from release, but there was no timing to upload this (That’s why there is no Anna, Lei..).
We recorded over 47million copies sales for the series.
