Tekken 7

With the PS4 PRO’s release fast approaching a lot of already released and upcoming games will be updated to take advantage of the new console’s improved processing power. Stellar games like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Shadow of Mordor, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, inFamous Second Son and Ratchet And Clank will be patched to support better resolution and performance on the Pro.

However Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 may or may not be updated for the new console. “Our company as a whole still hasn’t decided their direction on this yet, so Tekken is still to be determined,” designer Michael Murray said in an interview with Tekken Gamer.

It will be interesting to see what direction the company will take with regards to iterative consoles. Will Tekken 7 take full advantage of the Pro or will it be a mere upscaled version of the original game is something that remains to be seen. Tekken 7 launches next year on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
