Tekken 7 Won’t Have Tekken Tunes on PS4 Because That Would Entail A Policy Change

But the director is looking into it with Sony.

Tekken 7

Remember that awesome feature in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which would let you listen to your own songs while you were playing the game? If you were hoping this feature would return in the PS4 version of Tekken 7 too, well then, unfortunately, it won’t be.

It’s not going to be easy to bring this feature back in- Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada explained on Twitter that the feature would necessitate a system update by Sony, as well as a policy change. “It’s impossible for the moment. We require policy change with OS Update of SONY,” he said in response to a fan’s question. That said, he did promise that he was looking into it- “I continue negotiating with Sony. But It’s not too easy (include security issue) (sic),” he said.

So there you have it- as of right now, it’s not too likely that this will happen. Better keep your smartphone and a pair of earphones around when you are playing the game, I guess.
