After launching last week for PS5, Bandai Namco’s free demo for Tekken 8 is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. It includes the first chapter of Story Mode, The Dark Awakens, and Chapter 1 of Arcade Quest (though its content differs from the game).
Versus Mode is also available with Jin, Kazuya, Paul and Nina Williams. There are also three stages to choose from – Yakushima, Sanctum and Urban Square (Evening). Super Ghost Battle, which allows for fighting against challenging AI players, is also available to try out. Finally, there’s the Gallery with cutscenes from Tekken through Tekken 7.
Online play wasn’t available for the PS5 version, which likely applies here. Save data also won’t transfer over to the full game. The demo allows players to try out the new systems, including the new Heat mechanics, before launch.
