Tekken 8 Launches on January 26, 2024; New Game Mode Revealed

Bandai Namco has also revealed a new mode for the upcoming fighter, a story-focused experience that will focus on the arcade scene.

As previously confirmedTekken 8 was one of several games to take the stage at Gamescom Opening Night Live, with Bandai Namco showcasing an extensive new trailer for Tekken 8. In addition to showing more glimpses of what the fighter’s story mode will have in store, the trailer also confirms that there will be 32 characters in the roster at launch. 

More importantly, however, the trailer also reveals a brand-new single player in the form of Arcade Quest, which will see players jumping in with their avatar characters and playing through a story that revolves around the classic arcade scene of the fighting genre. It looks like it’s going to take on a very different tone from what you’d ordinarily expect from a Tekken experience, and it’s certainly looking interesting. In addition, the game’s official release date has also been revealed, and it’s just a couple of days off from the recent leakTekken 8 will launch on January 26 next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
