Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 is confirmed to appear at Gamescom Opening Night Live tonight, and with its recent age rating in South Korea, a release date could be announced. However, it seems that may have already leaked, courtesy of @ALumia_Italia on Twitter, which follows the Xbox Store’s backend.
They noted that the fighting game is releasing on January 24th, 2024, which follows Bandai Namco’s announcement to launch it before April 2024. Given the account’s reputation, successfully leaking release dates for Payday 3 and Lords of the Fallen, it seems like a lock. Nevertheless, we’ll wait till tonight for more details.
Tekken 8 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Developed on Unreal Engine 5 from the ground up, it features returning fighters like Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix and even long-absent characters like Jun Kazama. There are also newcomers like Azucena, a Peruvian fighter with quick strikes and baits that loves coffee.
