After showcasing the talents of Nina Williams and Kazuya Mishima in Tekken 8, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer focusing on Jin Kazama. The series’ mainstay returns with a renewed focus, retaining his hard-hitting style while mixing in various Devil Gene moves. Check it out below.
In addition to knockbacks and juggles, Jin is skilled at immediately countering attacks. He can also unleash a flying kick for continuing combos and closing the distance. It’s an interesting contrast to Kazuya’s style, especially given the lack of long-range lasers. The new Heat Burst and Heat Engager mechanics are also showcased and look very crisp.
Tekken 8 is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. While a release date hasn’t been announced, Bandai Namco says it will release before April 2024. It should arrive between April 1st, 2023, and March 31st, 2024. Stay tuned for more details and character reveals in the coming months.
