After showcasing Nina Williams and various new gameplay mechanics, Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 has received another gameplay trailer. This time, it focuses on Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama’s father and Heihachi’s son, who survives the events of Tekken 7 to wreak havoc again. Check out his moves below.

In addition to familiar strikes and combos, Kazuya can transform into Devil Kazuya. The form allows for unleashing laser beams against his opponent and even slamming them from the air for massive damage. The trailer also showcases the new Heat Burst and Heat Engager actions and how they feed into traditional combos and setups.

Tekken 8 is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. A release date hasn’t been announced, but Bandai Namco aims to launch sometime before April 2024. In the meantime, Fighting EX Layer developer Arika is confirmed to be aiding development and could implement rollback netcode for online play. Stay tuned for more fighter reveals and gameplay in the meantime.
