Telltale games and Gearbox Reveal First Details on ‘Tales from the Borderlands’

At a panel at SXSW.

Telltale Games announced at the VGX last year that they would be working with Gearbox to bring us Tales from the Borderlands, which will be an all new episodic adventure game series set in the Borderlands universe. And now we know more about it. Or will soon, anyway

Speaking at a panel at SXSW, we will be given glimpses of the game’s story, as well as an idea of how the two studios came together for this extremely unlikely collaboration in the first place, as Gearbox President Randy Pitchford,  Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch, and Borderlands Franchise Director Matthew Armstrong pitch in on stage with Telltale President Kevin Bruner and designer Harrison Pink.

The game is due out later this year, and is one of the many works currently in progress at Telltale Games (the others including The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, and the upcoming Game of Thrones).

Stay tuned for more news and coverage.
