Additional content is in the works for Telltale Games’ popular adventure series The Walking Dead. This will be before the release of season 2, and will help tide fans over until the next season arrives.

Speaking to IGN, story consultant and Episode Four writer Gary Whitta stated that, “You won’t have to wait for season two to play more Walking Dead.

“I can tell you what you already know, which is season two is coming. There’s not much to say because it really is very early; it’s a way off. There may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.”

He also stated that the upcoming additional content would “make the wait for season two slightly less agonizing.”

The Walking Dead’s first season has been critically acclaimed and commercially successful, earning several Game of the Year awards for 2012. It is currently available as five episodes on Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
