Telltale Will Debut Their Update Engine With Their Batman Game

Which launches this Summer.

Batman Telltale 2

At The Game Awards last year, Telltale announced that they would be launching a Batman game this year. Now, we finally have some more information, thanks to the stream that the developer held for the game (and thanks to NeoGAF, who collected all the information for us!)

According to Telltale, the game, which will see its first episode launch this Summer, will also see Telltale debut their updated engine. This engine will introduce new mechanics, and will address some of the most common complaints that fans have had with Telltale games of late.

The game itself will be within its own universe, unrelated to the movies, comics, cartoons, or the Arkham games. It will focus to a very large degree on Bruce Wayne and his psyche, and players will be given the chance to tackle certain situations as either Bruce or as Batman.

It sounds like a rather good game- Batman lends itself incredibly well to the kinds of games that Telltale like to make, so here’s hoping that they nail this.
